French farmers protested in central Paris with around 100 tractors against the EU's Mercosur trade agreement with South American countries. Despite police blockades, some tractors reached key locations like the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. The protest, organized by the Rural Coordination union, aimed to pressure the French government, which opposes the deal, claiming it would harm their livelihoods. Farmers are also upset about government measures related to cattle disease. The EU is negotiating the agreement, with a potential signing in Paraguay soon.
