The FA has announced that transgender women will be banned from competing in women's football in England starting June 1, 2025, following a Supreme Court ruling that defines 'woman' and 'sex' as referring to biological women. This decision reverses a previous policy allowing transgender women to play if their testosterone levels were below a certain threshold. Rights groups have criticized the ruling, and a former judge plans to appeal it in the ECHR.
