A French court sentenced Rwandan former doctor Eugène Rwamucyo to 27 years in prison for complicity in genocide and crimes against humanity related to the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Despite being acquitted of direct involvement in killings, he was found guilty of spreading propaganda and attempting to conceal evidence. His lawyers plan to appeal the decision.
