France's parliament has initiated an online consultation to assess public opinion on TikTok and its psychological effects, open until May 31. The survey aims to gather insights from French adults and minors regarding their use of social networks. The findings will assist a parliamentary commission investigating TikTok's impact, especially among young users. Laure Miller, an MP, emphasized the initiative's importance. The commission will publish its conclusions by September, following interviews with various stakeholders. Legal actions have been taken by families against TikTok for harmful content and its effects on youth.
