French Prime Minister François Bayrou's daughter, Hélène Perlant, revealed she was abused at a Roman Catholic school, which deeply affects him as a father. Allegations of abuse at Notre-Dame de Bétharram have surfaced, with Perlant accusing a priest of physical abuse. Despite Bayrou's denial of prior knowledge of the abuse, he faces scrutiny as he prepares for a parliamentary inquiry. The scandal has intensified pressure on his leadership, with numerous complaints emerging over the years, including sexual violence allegations.
