In the summer of 1989, Aadam Jacobs recorded Nirvana's debut concert in Chicago using a cassette recorder. His extensive collection of over 10,000 concert tapes from the 1980s to early 2000s is being digitized and preserved by volunteers at the Internet Archive. Jacobs began recording in 1984 and has captured performances from various artists. Despite using basic equipment, many recordings are of impressive quality.
