Germany has returned two fragments of the Bayeux Tapestry, stolen during the Nazi occupation in 1941. Discovered in state archives, the pieces were identified as part of the tapestry that narrates the Norman conquest of England. The head of the archive emphasized the importance of returning these artifacts to France. The tapestry is set to be displayed at the British Museum, despite concerns over its fragility.
