Germany is facing increased security threats following a fatwa issued by Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi after the killing of Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The fatwa calls for holy war against the US and Israel, raising concerns about potential attacks by Iranian sleeper cells in Europe. Experts warn of a high risk of spontaneous attacks and the activation of existing networks. Recent incidents in North America, including a shooting in Austin, Texas, are being investigated as potential terrorism linked to these developments. German authorities are on high alert, monitoring the situation closely.
