EU greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 0.6% from Q3 2023 to Q3 2024, totaling 767 million tonnes. Notable reductions occurred in Austria, Hungary, and Denmark, while Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Sweden saw increases. The decline was primarily due to reductions in the electricity and gas supply chain, despite increases in water supply and waste management.
