Philippe Tabarot, the French Minister of Transport, urged drivers not to use the recalled Citroen C3 and DS3 models after a woman died due to a faulty airbag. The affected vehicles were manufactured between 1998 and 2019, and the recall concerns airbags made by Takata, which can explode during operation, causing serious injury or death. The French government reported two fatal incidents linked to these airbags in recent weeks. The Takata scandal has led to one of the largest recalls in automotive history, affecting around 125 million cars worldwide before the company's bankruptcy in 2017.
