Almost half of EU Member States missed the deadline to submit their National Implementation Plans for managing migrations, with Poland, Italy, and Hungary notably unresponsive. The European Commission confirmed only 14 plans were submitted by the deadline. Poland's government, led by Donald Tusk, opposes the Migration Pact, focusing instead on border protection amid tensions with Belarus.
