A UK study reveals that individuals from better socioeconomic backgrounds exhibit fewer signs of biological aging. Researchers analyzed data from various patient cohorts, linking 83 diseases associated with aging to socioeconomic factors like education and income. Findings indicate that the least privileged have a 20% higher disease risk. The study emphasizes that healthy aging is attainable for society, particularly for those with favorable socioeconomic conditions. It also suggests that upward social mobility can positively affect biological aging, although the study cannot establish direct cause-and-effect relationships. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
