Robert Redford, the legendary Oscar-winning actor and director, has passed away at the age of 89 in his sleep at his home in Utah. Renowned for iconic roles in films such as 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' and 'The Great Gatsby', Redford also won an Academy Award for Best Director for 'Ordinary People'. He was a pivotal figure in independent cinema, co-founding the Sundance Institute.
