President-elect Donald Trump plans to quickly reverse environmental protections from the previous administration, including rolling back the Inflation Reduction Act and increasing oil drilling. This comes after the US faced significant economic losses from extreme weather. The Biden Administration has secured most clean energy grants, which may face challenges under Trump. Despite Trump's push for drilling, interest in projects like the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is low. The global shift towards renewable energy continues, with other countries like China and the EU taking the lead in climate action.
