The EU is implementing new regulations aimed at reducing waste and promoting appliance repairs over replacements. The Right to Repair Directive will require manufacturers to make appliances easier to repair and provide necessary parts and manuals for up to 10 years. This initiative seeks to save consumers money and reduce the 35 million tonnes of waste generated annually from prematurely discarded goods.
