Caucasus Auto Import (CAI) plays a key role in this industry, importing damaged cars, repairing them, and exporting them mainly to former Soviet republics. Despite restrictions on exports to Russia due to sanctions, there has been a notable increase in exports to Kazakhstan and other neighboring countries. The affordable labor costs in Georgia make it economically viable to repair these vehicles, and there is a growing demand for hybrid cars.
