Roman Dobrokhotov, a Russian journalist, has been targeted by the Kremlin for his investigations into Vladimir Putin's regime. In 2021, he was unknowingly followed by a Bulgarian woman, Katrin Ivanova, who was part of a spy cell tracking enemies of Russia across Europe. The group, led by Orlin Roussev, plotted various operations, including kidnap and murder, against journalists and dissidents. Several members were arrested and found guilty of espionage activities, with potential sentences of up to 14 years. Dobrokhotov warns that without regime change, threats against journalists will continue. Teljes cikk (bbc.com europe)
