Cikk tartalma röviden

The Hafencity area in Hamburg has transformed from a port into a major urban redevelopment project featuring a district heating system powered by CO2-free industrial waste heat from the Aurubis smelter. This innovative project, which began in 2018, connects buildings to a heating network that utilizes waste heat from copper production, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. Enercity Contracting and Aurubis collaborated on this project, which now serves up to 28,000 households and saves 120,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
