Hundreds of thousands of young Catholics gathered in Rome for a vigil and Mass with Pope Leo XIV, marking the Vatican's 2025 Holy Year. The event attracted up to one million pilgrims from 146 countries, including those from conflict zones. Despite challenges like long waits for food and accommodation, attendees expressed spiritual growth and excitement. A tragedy occurred with the death of an 18-year-old woman during the pilgrimage. Various facilities and security measures were implemented to support the pilgrims.
