An external investigation into Karim Khan, the ICC's chief prosecutor, has been initiated after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced. Khan denies the accusations, which coincide with reports of an Israeli campaign to undermine the ICC's prosecution of Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes. The internal watchdog had previously closed the case quickly, raising concerns about conflict of interest due to Khan's wife's past work. The investigation's scope and conduct remain uncertain, with implications for the ICC's integrity and ongoing geopolitical tensions.
