A volcano in Iceland has erupted for the seventh time since December, with lava spewing through a 3-kilometre fissure on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The eruption, which began with little warning, is smaller than previous eruptions. The local town of Grindavík has been evacuated, but Keflavik International Airport remains open. Authorities warn tourists to stay away from the eruption site. Iceland is considered a safe destination despite the volcanic activity, and the Blue Lagoon spa is temporarily closed.
