Idris Elba has dismissed rumors of entering politics, stating he lacks the courage for it. He discussed this at the Venice Film Festival while promoting his film 'A House Of Dynamite', where he plays the US President. Despite interest from the Labour party for him to run for Mayor of London due to his activism against knife crime, Elba believes politics requires a different kind of courage. The current Mayor, Sadiq Khan, is expected to step down before the next election in 2028.
