A report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) urges governments to promote remote working, reduce speed limits, and encourage public transport due to a significant disruption in global oil supplies caused by military actions in the Middle East. Oil prices have surged, and the IEA warns that the current situation is the largest supply shock in modern history. Measures to reduce oil demand, such as cutting air travel and promoting remote work, are recommended. The crisis also affects natural gas flows and electricity prices, with calls for targeted financial support for the poorest households.
