Ildikó Enyedi's new film awarded at 61st Chicago International Film Festival 😊

Hungarian cinematographer Gergely Pálos won the Best Cinematographer award at the 61st Chicago International Film Festival for 'Silent Friend', directed by Ildikó Enyedi. The film, a German-French-Hungarian co-production, explores the relationships between plants and humans and has already won six awards at the Venice Film Festival. It features three distinct storytelling periods, each filmed in a different style. The film will premiere in Hungarian cinemas on January 29, 2026, with an earlier screening at the Budapest International Film Festival on October 28. Proceeds from the festival will support film financing initiatives.
