The Vatican has released photos of Pope Francis in an open coffin at Casa Santa Marta. Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the Pope's chamberlain, is present, blessing the body. Pope Francis is dressed in red robes and a papal mitre, holding a rosary. He requested a simple wooden casket for burial, differing from previous papal traditions. The chapel features triangular shapes symbolizing the Holy Trinity, and the Pope's body is guarded by the Swiss Guard. His body will be moved to St Peter's Basilica for public mourning before the funeral.
