Iran has reported significant pollution damage from oil spills affecting its Qeshm Island and the southern coastline of Oman, attributing the incidents to foreign vessels. The Iranian Foreign Ministry has called for compensation for the environmental damage, which they estimate to be in the trillions. Meanwhile, a separate spill from a Russian tanker continues to spread, exacerbating the environmental crisis in the region.
