Irish police have successfully thwarted a suspected dissident republican car bomb near the Northern Ireland border. The device was deemed highly sophisticated and was safely neutralized by the Irish Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team. Two suspects have been arrested as investigations continue into the ongoing threat posed by dissident republican groups.
