Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian president, has not ruled out the possibility of resigning amid massive anti-government protests in Belgrade, where hundreds of thousands demanded his resignation. During his visit to Beijing, he stated that if he resigns, elections would be held within 90 days. Vucic criticized the protests for lacking substance and mentioned that the number of participants was estimated between 30,500 and 34,300. The protests were sparked by a tragic incident in 2024 that resulted in 16 deaths, leading to public outrage over corruption.
