Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan criticized Israel and Kurdish fighters for threatening Syria's stability, accusing them of undermining the country's recovery post-civil war. He emphasized the need for regional prosperity and warned against destabilizing actions. Tensions between the Syrian government and the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have escalated, particularly regarding stalled agreements and violence. Fidan expressed Turkey's support for Syria's new administration and condemned external interference, particularly from Israel.
