The Italian state railway group Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) plans to launch a high-speed rail service between Paris and London by 2029, challenging Eurostar's monopoly. The project, costing €1 billion, will be in partnership with Spanish firm Evolyn. FS aims to enhance European rail connectivity and sustainability.
