Japanese astronaut Takuya Onishi has taken command of the International Space Station (ISS) from Russian cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin in a ceremony. Onishi will lead Expedition 73 until December 2025, while Expedition 72 members, including NASA's Don Pettit, prepare to return to Earth. Ovchinin expressed gratitude to his crew and welcomed Onishi, emphasizing the importance of space exploration. Onishi reflected on their long acquaintance and honored the transition.
