Kaja Kallas, the EU's foreign policy chief, praised Albania's ambitious agenda for EU membership negotiations and urged political support for necessary reforms. During her visit to Tirana, she emphasized Albania's commitment to EU values, particularly in light of its support for Ukraine and implementation of EU sanctions against Russia. The EU began full membership negotiations with Albania in 2020, and Prime Minister Edi Rama aims for Albania to join the bloc by 2030. Albania is also set to receive significant financial support from the EU and has signed agreements for infrastructure improvements.
