Kanye West is set to perform in St Petersburg, Russia, on October 10 and 11, marking the first major Western artist to do so since the Ukraine invasion in 2022. His performances come amidst ongoing backlash due to his antisemitic remarks and previous concert cancellations across Europe. The concerts have sparked debate over freedom of speech and Western influence in Russia, with some local lawmakers expressing disapproval.
