Customs officers at Brussels Airport discovered that a shipment of medical ketamine had been switched with salt during its journey from India to Belgium. This incident highlights the sophisticated methods used by crime gangs to traffic ketamine across Europe, exploiting its legal classification in some countries. Investigators have noted a significant rise in ketamine use and trafficking, with criminal organizations profiting greatly from its sale. The situation poses challenges for law enforcement, as ketamine is also a legitimate medical drug. Authorities are seeking international cooperation to combat this growing issue.
