A new road bridge connecting North Korea and Russia is nearing completion, symbolizing the strengthening relationship between the two countries, particularly in military cooperation. The bridge, named the Khasan–Tumangang Bridge, will facilitate the transfer of military goods and personnel. Construction began after an agreement during Putin's 2024 visit to Pyongyang, and it is expected to handle significant trade activity. The bridge's opening is seen as a landmark in Russian-Korean relations, with implications for military collaboration amid the ongoing Ukraine conflict.
