The Louvre in Paris was closed due to a strike by workers protesting against poor working conditions, following a recent jewellery heist. The strike was unanimous among 400 workers, and while the museum is closed on Tuesdays, further decisions on the strike's duration will be made on Wednesday. Visitors expressed disappointment over the closure, highlighting the museum's significance. Labour leaders raised concerns about staffing and security, exacerbated by the heist, and called for improved conditions and resources.
