Marjane Satrapi, the French-Iranian author and illustrator known for her graphic novel 'Persepolis', has died in Paris at 56. Her death follows the loss of her husband, Mattias Ripa, in 2025. Satrapi was a critic of Iran's regime and gained fame for her autobiographical works, including 'Persepolis', which was adapted into an animated film.
