Mayor of Nice vows to ban ‘floating hotels’: Will he be able to ban cruises by the summer? 😔
Cikk tartalma röviden
Mayor Christian Estrosi announced plans to ban large cruise ships from docking in Nice, citing concerns over overtourism and environmental pollution. The new regulations will limit ships to a maximum length of 190 meters and a capacity of 900 passengers, aiming to reduce cruise passenger numbers by 70%. While local support exists for the ban, questions remain about its feasibility and the impact of increased air traffic from the nearby airport expansion.
