Two low- to zero-emission sailing boats are on a journey across the Aegean and Ionian Seas to raise awareness about the endangered Mediterranean monk seal. The campaign, led by the Monk Seal Alliance and OFYPEKA, aims to educate locals and tourists about the threats faced by these seals due to recreational boating and tourism. Marine biologist Suzanne Raqbi and Captain Loukas Gurchogiannis emphasize the importance of informing the public, especially young people, about how to protect these vulnerable animals.
