Jaroslava Sklenicková, the last survivor of the Lidice massacre, passed away at the age of 98. At just 16, she experienced the brutal actions of SS and Gestapo agents in 1942, which led to the arrest and disappearance of many villagers. Adolf Hitler ordered the destruction of Lidice, resulting in the execution of men and the deportation of women and children to concentration camps. Sklenicková survived and later wrote a book about her experiences. She died peacefully at her home in Lidice, surrounded by family.
