Lionsgate is set to begin production on the sequel to the Michael Jackson biopic, titled 'Michael 2', with hopes for a release in late 2028. The studio aims to incorporate previously shot musical sequences and deliver a high-quality sequel that meets audience expectations. The first film, which starred Jaafar Jackson as Michael, was a box office success but faced criticism for its portrayal of Jackson's life and controversies.
