In 2023, 25.5% of EU citizens with disabilities faced financial difficulties, compared to 16.2% of non-disabled individuals. Greece and Bulgaria had the highest rates of financial struggles among disabled citizens, while Luxembourg, Finland, the Netherlands, and Sweden reported the lowest. Over 40% of disabled individuals could not afford a holiday, particularly in Eastern EU countries.
