Native American teenagers from various tribes paddled 499 kilometers from the Wood River to the Pacific Ocean to celebrate the removal of four hydropower dams on the Klamath River, which had blocked salmon spawning grounds. The journey, which took a month, was part of a long effort to restore the river's ecosystem and cultural heritage.
