Recent findings in the Bernese Jura have revealed over 2,200 fragments of the Twannberg meteorite, significantly more than previously estimated. This meteorite, classified as an extremely rare IIG iron meteorite, offers valuable insights into the early solar system and the geological history of Switzerland. Ongoing searches continue to uncover new fragments, highlighting the area's potential for further discoveries.
