Noyb, an Austrian privacy advocacy group, has filed six data protection complaints against TikTok, AliExpress, SHEIN, Temu, WeChat, and Xiaomi for allegedly unlawfully transferring European users' data to China. They argue that China's authoritarian regime poses risks to user privacy and that these companies have not complied with GDPR requests for information. The complaints are now with data protection authorities in five EU countries, and the companies could face significant fines if found guilty. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
