The new commander of Hamas' military wing, Mohammed Odeh, has been killed in a strike on northern Gaza, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Odeh was targeted after months of intelligence monitoring and had previously led Hamas’ intelligence headquarters. The IDF also struck additional terrorist infrastructure in Gaza City. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office labeled Odeh as an architect of the October 7 attacks, which resulted in numerous casualties among Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers. This incident coincides with increased military operations by Israel in Lebanon against Hezbollah.
