The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, reported a significant increase in North Korea's nuclear weapons production capabilities during his visit to Seoul. Observations indicate heightened operations at the Yongbyon reactor and other facilities, suggesting North Korea may possess several dozen warheads. Despite UN sanctions and a history of nuclear tests, North Korea remains defiant about its nuclear program. The IAEA has noted new construction at Yongbyon, and while there are concerns about potential Russian assistance, no concrete evidence has been found. South Korea is pursuing peaceful relations with the North amidst ongoing security talks with the US and Japan.
