Danka Ilics, a two-year-old girl, disappeared from Banjsko Polje on March 26 last year. After ten days of searching, two suspects, Dejan Dragijevics and Srdjan Jankovics, were arrested for allegedly hitting her with their vehicle and disposing of her body. The investigation revealed it was a murder, not kidnapping. Jankovics did not notice the accident, and Dragijevics panicked and strangled Danka when she regained consciousness. The community is deeply affected by the tragedy, which has created a sense of unease and fear among the residents, who report a significant change in their previously peaceful village.
