A gunman was killed and two others injured in a shootout near the Israeli consulate in Istanbul. The attackers, who traveled from Izmit, were identified as brothers. The deceased gunman, Yunus E.S., was linked to a terrorist organization, likely the Islamic State. The police confirmed that only one attacker was killed, while the two injured attackers were also brothers. The incident occurred in broad daylight, and no Israeli diplomats were present at the consulate, which has been empty for two-and-a-half years due to strained relations between Turkey and Israel.
