One month before COP30, Brazilian Minister Sonia Guajajara requested EU support for the Tropical Forests Forever Fund (TFFF), aiming to raise $125 billion to protect tropical forests, with 20% allocated for indigenous peoples. The fund seeks to reward countries maintaining forest cover and emphasizes the role of local communities in biodiversity preservation. Brazil has committed $1 billion to the fund and invites other countries to contribute.
